Wiba Anung

The Wiba Anung (Early Star) project is a partnership between researchers at Michigan State University, The University of Memphis, educators from Bay Mills Community College, and program directors, teachers, and parents of Michigan's American Indian Head Start and Home Visitation programs. Wiba Anung has, for the past eight years, worked to address a variety of developmental and health concerns for American Indian children in Michigan. The project uses a Community-based Participatory Research approach in all of its research and evaluation projects.
